One of the draws of the night for me is the way that the full moon manifests itself through the trees, broken and shattered by the intricacy of the branch and twig details. The very same block to the moonlight is also that which is also beautifully showcased by the backligting from the moon. The first image is an exact example of this, the way the moon is hidden behind the trees, yet still lighting the ground detail. The other images also show the effects of the moon on trees, but from a different perspective. The moon is often my key, and sometimes sole light source for night imagery.
